Question:

Is Louisiana destined to flood as badly as Iowa soon?

I know the Mississippi River flooded our area (between Baton Rouge & New Orleans) horribly in 1983, and it was due to roughly the same thing happening now. (snow melting, tons of rain up north, flooded us when all that water made it this way) Just wondering if anyone's predicting for Louisiana to get the same devastation as Iowa, etc when all that water makes it this far down. and if so, when would it reach us? (already nervous with Hurricane Season in full swing)

  1. The bad news is that there is a crest on the way.

The good news is that the peak tends to flatten as is flows downstream.

You can be sure that there are a lot of people working

to predict what Louisiana will see and prepare for it.

    Best wishes
