Is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 at Tottenham Hotspur? – English Premier League (Part 1)
Tottenham Hotspur’s fans must be wondering what’s next for them. Harry Redknapp and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Levy keep coming out with statements directed Luka Modric but is the Croatian midfielder really going to stay at the White Hart Lane stadium.
It is quite hard to reach a conclusion at the moment, given the way that all the three parties in this case are at a precarious stage.
Luka Modric has already hinted that he is willing to seek a move away from Tottenham, Chelsea’s 22 million pound bid has already been rejected and Daniel levy along with his best mate Harry Redknapp are still sticking to their
rhetoric of retaining their best players.
In such a situation one must assess whether or not Modric is worth all the trouble or not? What does he really mean to Tottenham who let’s not forget brought in Rafael Van der Vaart last season, a player who is quite similar to
Modric.
In the UEFA Champions League, Modric failed to perform against a vastly superior http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid side which won away at the White Hart Lane stadium following their win at Santiago Bernabéu in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League
quarter final against Harry Redknapp’s men.
Redknapp’s latest comments imply that it will be doom and gloom without the skinny Croatian at Tottenham. Terms like a mid-table club have been thrown around along with doomsday scenarios by both Levy and Harry Redknapp.
When the end of the season awards were being distributed by Tottenham’s fans, Luka Modric emerged as a clear favourite amongst the White Hart Lane faithful. It is Modric’s drive from the midfield area that actually opens up space
for the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Lennon-c3062 along with other operators in the Tottenham factory to work their magic.
Moreover Modric has the ability to keep the play ticking for him team, a department in which Rafael Van der Vaart falters in comparison to his Croatian team mate. Over the past seasons, Tottenham’s midfielder has been blamed for
being under weight.
When he arrived in the English Premier League, critics dismissed Luka has an impact maker due to his light weight frame but the Tottenham playmaker has shown time and again that he is always up for a fight and has the ability to
get stuck in when things get tough for his team mates.
Thus with these latest approaches towards Modric from Chelsea’s side, it is quite possible that Tottenham will end up parting ways with yet another quality player. It won’t be the first time that an above average player will leave
Tottenham for a better club nor should we say better employers?
Why does this happen so very often? Harry Redknapp will point towards Tottenham’s inability to provide their stars with constant UEFA Champions League football and the Englishman might be true in his claims there are other factors
that impact such moves as well.
Factors that will be discussed in the second part of this article when we take a look at the wage structure at Tottenham and it’s possible on Modric’s decision to part ways with Tottenham Hotspur...
