Yes, MS Dhoni is the most overrated cricketer in the world. No doubt about that. I really don't understand why there is so much hype about this guy, when India hasfar better players than him. Leave alone the seniors-even guys like Gambhir Sehwag, and Yuvraj play better than Dhoni.

The reason he got paid over a million in IPL is because the team which selected him needed a icon player which they didnt have. They wanted to get someone famous so they could attract crowd to come watch.

I don't think M.S Dhoni is overated at all, he is a quality cricketer - With a real presence in the middle.

He can consolidate, when needed and he's one of the biggest strikers in world cricket.

In India anything is possible because Indians are hardly ever rational people when it comes to cricket. As a player Dhoti is not in the same league with Sachin, Ganguli, Dravid, Lax man, Sehwag to be honest but ...What can I say? In Hindi it is said that : If Khuda mehrban, ghadha pahalvan. Dhoni too will have his days in the sun as long as it lasts.

I think he in test cricket is still not a very good player but he is a wonderful odi player.
