  1. i love mac make up its worth the cost it looks natural and it hides things you dont want other ppl so see!

  2. I have never bought it, but I heard its so good. But Mac isn't the only good makeup around. So if you really think MAC is necessary then buy the essentials like a mascara, and foundation (liquid) buy the other stuff from other brands. I buy covergirl, maybelline that kind of stuff and i think it works fine.

  3. YES! but if your a starter... i just today bought a blank palette and a fill in.  what you do is that you go to the stor. look for your fave shade of eyeshadow. once you have tried it  on and you like it ask them for a blank palette that you can fill in with diff. shades. then take the eyeshadow you like and ask them for that color fill in. they will give it to you and you can collect. and its the same price as 1 little eyeshadow. but you get the palette.

But omg i totally agree with lila. i love benefit and urban decay stila and hard candy theyre some of my favorites

    Urban decay- primer potion

Benefit- that gal primer, show offs, dandelion, badgal lash

stila- convertible cheek and lip color

actually there eco frindly and they dont test on animals

if your done with a makeup item like a powder you can take the container in and they recycle it and then you get a free item

but only on certain stores. like the ones in dallas :)

  4. I don't really use MAC. But I hear it's good. And that it's worth the money.

I personally like Stila. It's worth it for me.

  5. yess definitely!

  6. Well they have very nice shadows, though I only have one pigment, and then I always use my roommate's singles because there are some colors i love but the colors are too intense for everyday look for me (well i don't put of makeup in the morning). their foundations are too heavy for me, since i don't like a lot of makeup on the face so I didn't buy it. I think a lot of their brushes might be overrated though, because I do go and touch them a lot, and it definitely does not occur to me how MAC is better than other department store brands, admittedly I have yet to truly use them. I'll say their Kabuki does feel the best compared to everything else, like the Nars, Bobby, Chanel and so on. So if you want a kabuki, buy the mac, but their other brushes I do not see the big deal, i mean sure they're nice, but not the only brushes out there. I think in terms of Shadow, I like Nars, Shu Uemura, MAC, NYX, and Stila. I haven't tried all the brands, but I don't really like Smashbox shadows (they don't go on as easily for me) and I've only tried Too Faced shadow from the Quickie chronicle and those are not that great. Urban Decay Shadows are better than Smashbox, but worst than Stila's for me, and I do rate how much I like a shadow by how easy they go on though, so I think the type of brush and base plays a big part.

So yes MAC is good, but for the money I am not so sure. The shadows are amazing because they have so many different color selection, but then everything else (note I never brought I just played with at the counter) I'd say use the money somewhere else. I always wonder why MAC gets more attention than all these other semi high end brands, its not much better in that price range.

  7. Although they test their products on animals I find their make-up really good it is quite expensive I think if you wanted something a little cheaper then you shouldn't get it and find something just as good.

  8. try clinique its covers good and its afforable only $20 for liquid or powder foundation

  9. Their variety of brushes and eyeliner are really good :)

Don't buy the foundation, it sucks and it's really heavy. Also it smells like fish after a while, sick.

Mascara is alright, not clumpy. But for what I was looking for, wal-mart had better! ;)

  10. i was a real big mac buyer but i realized its not really worth the money, its about the same quality as rimmel london. if youre going to spend that much money you should consider lancome, dior or nars.

  11. No, buy Benefit.

My dermatologist hates MAC. Especially the bronzers and the eye shadows with sparkles because they're comedegenic.

  12. no its not, its a rip- other make-ups work exactly the same.

  13. I definitely think MAC is worth the money. I do a lot of freelance makeup artistry and most of the products I use are MAC. I got started using it because I've always had skin problems and their products provide good coverage without irritation or anything and I've been using it for years now. Most of their stuff has staying power too so it won't just melt off because you sweat or anything.

I don't know how to recommend anything specific for you because I don't know what you're looking for, so I would suggest going to a MAC counter or store and asking one of the artists that works there to help you out. They can tell you what colors you should use and what would be best for your skin type.

If you're looking for easy day to day makeup I would say try out the Mineralize loose powder foundation if you're looking for a more natural look, or Studio Fix Fluid foundation if you want more coverage. A concealer is always good for blemishes and under eye circles too, and the Select Cover-Up is good for both because it doesn't have a lot of texture and look too thick or caked on. For a natural looking blush, I use their Sheertone Shimmer Powder Blush or Mineralize Blush. Any of their eyeshadows are good and they have a great selection of colors for whatever look you're going for. The Plushlash mascara is great too! It doesn't flake and adds a lot of volume, but also washes off easily.

I also wanted to add that MAC does NOT test on animals as someone previously said. They are a cruelty free company according to many sources, such as PETA.

  14. guys like natural looking girls. try to keep it simple..you dont wana look like a clown. but its ultimately up to you. splurge on shoes or clothes..not makeup.

  15. Yes and no. It depends on what you are buying. If you are buying their foundation than NO. I use a foundation that a bought at a local drugstore for less than $10 and it works better. Same with blush. You should buy any of their eye shadows though. They have so many good colors and they last along time. There brushes are good as well. Lip gloss and mascara is really good quality, but can be bought somewhere else for less.

  16. oh ya, my sister lovessssssssssssss MAC

  17. Its amazing

but its not good for your skin :\

chances are you'll get wrinkles so much faster

The Body Shop have good products + they are lightweight, natural, and have lots of colour range + enourmous amounts of skin treatments :)

I've got a cream from there.. Er its called Grapeseed Day Cream, but I don't even need to use foundation anymore because it gives me a healthy glow + my skin is smooth and flawless :)

go check their products out hon!! :D

  18. YES i LOOOVE their lipstick and lipgloss.. There cover up is remarkable it wont run or blotch even when water hits it (dry foundation or wet either ones awesome!) Love the bronzer and eyeshadow..

wouldnt slurge on the eyliner(its good tho) or mascara.. The eyeshadow i only buy because it has my fav color..

  19. honestly? no.

i have a few mac stuff and i can honestly find most of their stuff replaced in drug stores

such as eyeshadow colors e.c.t in drugstores

basically you just have to look really hard for the good stuff =]

  20. Ill keep it simple haha yup deafintly

    It has goerjus cover

    easy to apply

    long lasting

=D its deafinatly worth it it feels really nice to

  21. oh its so good and so worth it

their eye shadows and lig glass and plush glass or whatever

their Heatherette bronzer is really good.

    Eye liner

    Concealer

    and Mascara

  22. there is soooooo much MAC hype. yes it is good make up, but not the best by far. there are a ton of brands that are just as good (or better) than mac. not to mention that going to the mac store is scary because all the girls have so much **** painted on. my favorite brands

    benefit

    stila

    urban decay

make up for ever (this is the best stuff, only at sephora though)

    smashbox

these are all just as good as or better than MAC.

  23. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... !! lol. its all stage makeup. try clinique. i lovee itt. when i first got it, my friends tried it and they all switched to clinique. it works great and it looks natural. and it doesnt make you breakout like mac does.

  24. yes i love it

i usually break out with every other kind of make-up but somehow i dont get any reaction with MAC

its stage make-up so it covers EVERYTHING

    its definately worth the money

for foundation i use either studio fix or studio tech (fix is a powder tech is more of a cream)

they also sell great products so your powder eyeshadow lasts all day, i dont wear eye shadow so idk what its called but i heard it works wonders

  25. You really do get what you pay for. Mac is the top dog of makeup. But if your a teenager or new to make up i would suggest the drugstore. I really dont know what kind of makeup your intrested in they usually do have kits full of stuff you can buy.

    Buy a powder compact.

    a couple neautral eyeshadows.

a liquid liner and a pencil liner.

and whatever else you might like just to test the waters.

Dont waste money on theyre mascaras. For the same price you could go to lancome or dior and get something much more worth your buck

  26. NO tHEy tESt tHERE PRODUCtS ON ANiMALS
