Is MGS1 playable in MGS4?? playstation 3?

I just beat MGS4. I notice you could play mgs1 for a couple of mins. But can you play more of mgs1 in mgs4??? or just that one part??

Its just that one part.

Originally there was speculation that you could play all of MG1 one in new  high quality graphics due to the blue rays high capacity for storage.  A feature like this was included in MGS3 where you could be the Japan Exclusive Metal Gear.

However this proved to be too much work to upscale the old software to HD.

Afraid that's all you get to play of it (unless there is some secret way of unlocking it which no ones found yet but I doubt it).

Well, you can always just put on the MGS1 face camo and pretend your playing the PS1 version :D
