Is MTV show, The Hills a real realty show?

It looks real but then again it looks fake. I mean they put their names and business at the bottom of the screen but than it looks like a real show?

I think some of the drama is real but you know people on the show hav confessed that they sometimes have to "re-do" scenes and it is a known fact that Audrina was casted to play the "friend" role.  She was discovered sitting by a pool one day and an mtv producer asked her if she wanted to be on the show.  Their jobs on the show seem really fake...like the jobs were just given to them for the show or something.  And the fact that there are no other races other than caucasian on the show is what really makes it look fake...i have never even seen a black person walk by in the background and it's LA (a city with alot of diversity).

There real people.. but its all scripted.. sad.. its still a good show =]
