Is MY NEPHEW MAKING HIMSELF THROW UP??????

My STEP-nephew has bean throwing up for the last week, i believe it only starts up when everyone is getting ready for school. I think he is doing it for attention, he is 13 and is not on the heavy side. Is there anyway of telling if he makes himself throw up? I do think this boy has issues...he is 13 and my six year old son acts older than him..I have seen him give himself a black eye. what should be done here?

wow... i dont know mayb sneak up on him once in a while... bring him to the doctor for sure! if the doctor says he aint sick then... you know he is lying! XD all i can give!

He needs to be evaluated professionally because clearly something is wrong and he is finding the need to hurt himself, which is a cry for help.

well, if it's not all the time and it's only when getting ready for school, then he probably he making himself throw up. Ask him if everything is okay at school or get his parents to ask him. I would take him to a doctor because he can have serious consequences from that like erosion of the esophagus and his teeth will become rotten and yellow due to the acid. Plus, he will get in the habit of always doing that. You guys may see if counseling can be done for him. I hope all works out well.

It sounds VERY likely that he is being bullied if he's doing this on school days, have a chat with him or write a letter to his form tutor or headteacher. If it carries on refer him to a specialist?

try to communicate with him. if he does do it, tell him it is a serious problem. go to the doctor or research belimusy. if he is not doing it, go to the doctor's anyway, he could have a sickness or just a bug.

he could very well be, i would take him to the dr. explain the situation and see what the dr thinks, dont explain in front of kid

my 8 yr old cousin has made himself throw up since he was 4 or 5ish? he throws a fit til he vomits

sounds like he needs some ridilin.. he should be taken to the doctor, maybe he needs therapy.

Is he failing a class or being treated badly?  Maybe he is being picked on if he's slower than most his age.

Beat him with a stick... only joking. Make him scared to do it, like make something up about throwing up like "Everytime you throw up you lose a year of your life" or something and he'll be like "AHHHHHH NOO I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"... if all goes according to plan.

tell him to stop see a theripist! ok bc wen throat  i think it was  but it starts to bleed and that will kill u too!also from not eating!

Why are YOU asking this question?  Where are the child's parents?  YOU have nothing to do in this situation except to keep your child from picking up this other child's bad habits...you are only responsible for YOUR child not anyone else's.  

Obviously this child is doing things to get his way, he is going through puberty which is a rough time for most kids, he needs discipline however YOU not being a parent to this child has no right to hand out discipline.
