Is Manitoba (Canada) on the east side or west?

  1. It's in the dead center of the continent.  It's about 1500 miles from New Jersey and would be probably around 5 or 6 hours flying time from Newark.  There are no direct flights from Newark, though there might be from JFK or Philly (not sure - I only checked Newark) and will necessitate a plane change, probably in Minneapolis, Chicago or Toronto.  Fares vary, but are currently averaging in the neighborhood of $500 to $600 for a round-trip ticket.

  3. Manitoba is located at the centre of Canada and is very far from both New York and New Jersey

    Nowhere near New Jersey.  Although a high school friend of mine (from Manitoba, obviously) is now living in New Jersey...but that's as close as we get.  :)
