  1. we will have to wait and see

  2. No, man kinds contribution to global warming is minuscule.  Global warming and, as we learned today, global cooling is a naturally occurring phenomenon. Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines erupted and emitted more gases into the atmosphere than all emissions from autos since their manufacture began.

  3. Yes. Cars, factories and power station are sources of green house gases.

Although some said cows f**t also contribute to the green house gases. But it is mankind, who keep the cows.

  4. The prime movers in global warming are the sun and the earth itself through volcanos.

You first should examine why is it that the other planets in the solar system are also warming up.

  5. I don't belive that "global warming" really exists.

Yes, I think humans have contributed to pollution and the extinction of animals but I do not belive that we are causing the globe to warm up. Global temperatures have always fluctuated and change over millions of years even before humans were living here. It also fluctuated before records were kept thus making it hard to argue that this is an unusual change.

Yes I think the climate has changed, but I don't think it is that unusual.

  6. Main source?  No.  One of the sources?  Yes.

The world naturally heats & cools.  We're however, certainly not helping.

  7. We are not the main source.  Clearly we add CO2 to the atmosphere and may have tacked on a half degree to the natural warming trend.  It cooled in the 1960s and 70s in spite of increased CO2.  CO2 has never been shown to drive climate and there is no good indication that it is now.  Most of the claims are from those with political motivations and also from people trying to get global warming funding.

  8. It's not a matter of my opinion.

The people who actually know what they're talking about agree: yes, our dumpting sludge into the atmosphere at increasing rates for  a long time, is causing global climate change.

  9. yes

  10. Mankind destroy the forest that would help to reduce the green house gases. The green house gases cause global warming and climate change. So Mankind indirectly is the main source for global warming.

  11. No, we add to it but are not the main source.  Volcanoes emit 10's of thousands times the amount of greenhouse gasses are man does in a year.

People like to point to cattle production as a source of methane pollution, but they forget that the plains in the western U.S, used to be home to great herds of farting buffalo as well and a lot of other animals that do not exist in the same numbers anymore.

The sun is shown to be hotter today than in the past.  This is causing the surface temperature of Mars to increase at the same rate as the earths.

Can man do more to lessen his impact on the earth? Yes.  I for one am biking to work when its not raining which saves at least 2 gallons of gas per day.  We recycle and I would love to see more wind and solar energy produced.

Remember to that we are still coming out of the last ice age and we are not really sure what the earths climate was like before the start of it.  There have been tropical plants found in areas around the North Pole.  This would indicate that the polar cap has not always existed.

  12. I am so glad to see most of you know the facts. It is B.S. Al Gore is laughing all the way to the bank! Look at the cover of the "Inconvenient Truth", he has the hurricane spinning clockwise!!!!!!! He mocks you, he thinks you are stupid.
