This is a tricky question because he just moved up in weight. I believe he was the best at superfeatherweight where he beat JJM, Erik Morrales, Marco Antonio Barerra, Jorge Solis, Oscar Larios and others but he moved up and beat David Diaz at lightweight and so he has to begin again if he wants to be considered the best at this new division.

In November he is scheduled to fight Edwin Valero who is undefeated and has knocked out every opponent. This will be a good test for both fighters after this fight I think he would able to earn the "best" title by unifying the belts with a win over Nate Campbell. I think he can beat Campbell but I think he might have trouble with Juan Diaz actually. One other fight that would look good on his resume at this division is Joel Casamayor who has ruled the division for a long time. I doubt Pacquaio will stay too long before moving up again though to even more lucrative fights.

dont get fooled, I know theres alot of kids out there that are  tryin to say that Pacquiao the is the best just because he beat diaz, well let me tell you something as a real boxer and a real long time boxing fan, diaz is nobody and paciao is nobody 2, theres alot of people that are just new to the sport and think that these guys are something, paquiao is not even a boxer worth watching, theres hundereds of better boxers in many other different classes, dont get fooled by the media, you will understand this as you grow up "money and lie makes the world go round and the sun shine, not truth" what people say about other people is not for real, I know theres people dat think pacquiao can beat hatton, dont get fooled by the emotions and hype, pac cant even hurt hatton I put my house on it, just like poeple that thought tyson is the best ever period just because he beat spink in 92 secs, and then 3 fights later tyson gets KO, boxing is a tricky sport and you will understand that as u mature, dont believe what i just wrote if you are just a pacman fan, if you think pacman is the best lightweight alive then its allright, but if u are real REAL boxing fan you wouldnt even ask this question that u asked, study the sport, all I can say

Well Eddie, "killed" JJM, I disagree with you. I don't know what where you drinking that night, but pac did not beat Marquez 1 and 2.

Is pac a great boxers, yea he is.

Have you heard of "La Zorrita" Soto?. the one that beat pac's brother?. well I really think pac cannot beat this guy. La Zorrita is on prime-land. and he wants a piece of pacman.

Pac will have his hands full up there at 135, to include Marquez again. I don't have a doubt that pac can doit. But I am from Minnesota.  the "Show me" state. I need to see pac face folks like Soto, Baby bull Dias, Campbell, Casamayor.

I am sure pac's trainer is advising him to be extra cautions going all the way up to 140. They see Hatton as a doable, but the others..they don't want pac to step that deep into the mud.

nope, sorry i dont think so, but he is GOOD. we must admit hes good, he was considered by some because of his personal feat that wasnt able to accomplish by other greats especially from the southeast, 4 titles from 4 dif. divisons, 5 titles in record, number 1 pound for pound. still, he must face every challenge to silence everyone. i mean, hey theres casamayor, juan diaz, nate campbell...etc. the list goes on.

but hes number 1 on my pound for pound list.

He is at the top of the mythical p4p rankings, and for good reason.

Ron-D name 5 of the hundreds of fighters who are better than Pac.

Hatton is much bigger than Pac.  I thought Pac would have a hard time with DD, but alas I was wrong.  Could it be a factor against Hatton?  It could.

I think a Hatton- Pac fight goes the distance. I do not think Pac could beat May, and since it took May what 10 rounds to put Hatton away, perhaps Hatton will take Pac the distance.  Hatton got destroyed by PBF, and I think that unless size becomes a big issue, Pac gets a comfortable UD over Hatton.

EDIT: Ron D - I doubt Pac makes any list of top 50 fighter.

Top 10 lightweight, I think so... but put together a list of top fifty fighters ever, I think he might not get on my list.
