She currently has a life peerage as Baroness Thatcher, of Kesteven in the County of Lincolnshire, which entitles her to sit in the House of Lords.

    The current Australia's Governor General is Major General Philip Michael Jeffery, who is the 24th Governor-General of Australia since 11 August 2003. Major General Jeffery tendered his resignation as Governor-General on 13 April 2008. The next Governor-General is to be Ms Quentin Bryce, who is currently the Governor of Queensland.
