Is Mariah Carey being viewed as a black woman?

Although she hasn't been as vocal about it as some of her biracial peers, I believe Ms. Carey is finally coming to terms with her black heritage. For a while, it seemed she was riding that "white" image to get her where she is now. With her marrying Nick Cannon(which will probably not last through the end of the year), it was supposed to be her way of embracing her aforementioned black heritage.

now if u look at the women from nigeria or ghana or brazil now thats true black women, u can see evidence of divine presense in a beatufil black woman!

I don't view her as black.  I didn't know anything about her background until a friend of mine told me about her.  I originally thought she was some kind of white/hispanic cross.

I don't think so.  I think everyone views her for what she is, biracial.  I think she still would have gotten the success she has even if her skin color looked more black....look at successful singers that have made it, aretha franklin, beyonce, etc...it wouldn't have mattered.
