I mean, the man keeps mispronouncing the drivers' names, doesn't really add a whole lot of introspection into the sport, and is arrogant as he can be. I've almost quit listening (I don't listen if the Rowdy podcast is uploaded first, or I've already watched NASCAR Now for the day)

  1. You should definitely complain directly to them. Some organizations do listen to the fans.

  2. Absolutely correct, they can and should do better than Garrow. I would love to hear that they got John Kernan (former ESPN pit reporter) or Marty Snyder (TnT pit reporter). Anyone would be better than Garrow, even you Zach....I think.

  6. Randy Moss recently sent a strong message to the Craftsman Truck Series when he announced that Jimmie Johnson would drive for his team in the truck race at Bristol later this year. The news put the entire NASCAR world on notice that Moss is committed to success in racing and is willing to take the necessary steps to achieve his goal of winning a championship in the series. However, at the same time, the announcement showed that the upstart team has a lot to learn about the sport and the steep learning curve Moss will have to overcome to win at this level.

“I couldn’t be happier about Jimmy Johnson getting behind the wheel of my truck,” said the New England Patriot’s star receiver. “I never got to play for the man in the NFL but plain and simple, he’s a competitor. The man won a Super Bowl for goodness sake. That’s the guy I want driving for me.”

Moss’ new venture into NASCAR has posed new challenges for the wide receiver but he claims to thrive under the pressure. Moss admitted that the world he knows best is the National Football League but was comforted by the fact that football has many connections to the sport of auto racing. Former NFL legends that have made the jump into NASCAR include Joe Gibbs, Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. Reportedly, Moss made offers to all of NFL veterans but they all declined to get behind the wheel for Moss’ Craftsman Truck Series team.

“Sure I would have loved to convince one of the NFL guys to join my team but I understand. They’ve got other things going on. The problem was I would interview drivers and none of them would know the difference between a cross route and a button hook. I was starting to get depressed because I don’t speak the language of NASCAR yet. I couldn’t communicate with my team,” explained Moss. “Then somebody said I should talk to Jimmie Johnson. I was like d**n, Jimmy Johnson is in NASCAR? The rest is history. Coach is gonna be driving my truck at Bristol.”

A statement from Jimmy Johnson’s agent Buck Mitchell stated that the former NFL coach has no intention of entering NASCAR and confirmed that Moss has mistakenly signed Jimmie Johnson, the driver of the #48 Lowe’s Chevrolet to drive for his team. All attempts to clarify the situation with Moss were unsuccessful when he was unable to understand the distinction between Jimmy Johnson and Jimmy Johnson. “Folks kept saying, hey Randy Moss, you got Jimmie Johnson and I was like, you d**n right I got Jimmy Johnson,” said Moss. “Ain’t nothing but fools out there jealous of Randy Moss. Randy Moss got Jimmy Johnson and every team out there would love to have Jimmie Johnson. Sorry chumps, Randy Moss got Jimmy Johnson.”

The newly formed partnership between Johnson and Moss got off to a rocky start when the driver and team owner met for the first time face to face. Moss reportedly was upset that Jimmy Johnson sent his son Jimmie Johnson to the meeting. “I felt disrespected but I got over it pretty quick. That’s just coach being coach,” said Moss. “I just told Jimmie, you go tell your old man that we’re gonna win some races together.” Johnson responded to his new boss with a half smile and a look of confusion and informed Moss that he would be driving the truck for him at Bristol. “Some day son,” Moss responded. “You keep dreaming and shooting for the stars. One day you could be a NASCAR champion if you put your mind to it. Never give up. Coach Johnson never did and he’s got a ring.”
