Is Matt Barnes a good defender?

Matt Barnes is a pretty good overall player. He is ok in defended. Well I can say this much, he is better than Grant Hill. Hill really let the Suns down last season suring the playoffs. I like Barnes, he fits into the Suns run and gun style. I hope the Suns go far this season.

He is okay, i think he's better on offense, but with a new coach, i think phx is going to be more defensive minded

I'm a Warriors fan and I'm glad Matt's gone.  He was dead weight.  I don't know if his mother's death threw him off but he just sucked last year.

All Mavericks fans will attest to the fact that Matt Barnes is a very good defender.  He probably won't start for the suns, but he'll be valuable off the bench.  The suns do have raja bell, and together with Barnes, they'll form a good defensive nucleus.

Matt Barnes was great overall in the 2007 playoffs, but friggin blowed this year. I begged not to see him play. Im glad he's leaving, and his defense was decent. He was a dumb player though. He would try to make passes all cool and stuff.

Matt Barnes will be good for the Suns because they will use him better than the Warriors did.

All these Warriors fans complain about him, is it  his fault that Nellie didn't utilize him the same way as last season?

Let not forget to mention that his mom kind of died, I don't think I would be completely focused on basketball when something like that happens.

His batteries are recharged and he will look more like 2007 Barnes than 2008.
