Is Matt Hardy deserving of a main event push?

He's been wanting one forever, he talks about it in his DVD, i think WWE just put him on ECW so they can throw the joke of a title (ECW title) on him to see if he is main event material.

I find him dull, boring, and not charismatic at all.

But do you think Matt Hardy would work out as WWE or WHC?

I think he is.

I think he's a good technical wrestler...

Not as highflying as Jeff, but definately something to get you to watch..

I think he deserves it, he hasn't made a big mistake or anything,

He's been clean the whole time.

He would not be a good wwe or whc. I think the ecw title is perfect for him cause its better the mid-card titles (us/intercontinental title) but worse than the main eventer titles (wwe/whc title) and he is in that area.

I'll have to see how he does as the ECW champ. If he manages to carry the ECW title and brand well, then I can see him as a world champion. Personally, I don't think he's main event of Wrestlemania material, but he does work well in a main event/upper midcard spot, where he can be pulled up as a convincing challenger to a world champion and perhaps even win one or two. He won't ever be the main draw of the company, but he's a solid piece of the puzzle.

Someone above was talking about a feud with HBK capapulting him to the next level. Well, something like that is what he really needs, a high level feud that can get him over and push him right into the main event. I though his feud with MVP was going to be it but Matt's injury ruined that and the WWE messed it up by not fully continuing it once Hardy came back.

LOL, a lot of people find Matt dull, boring and not charismatic because his actual very good wrestling skills are overshadowed by that spot monkey brother of his.

With that being said, Matt is charismatic, and not boring. You only need to take a look at his best feuds recently, against Edge and MVP to know that.

I respect him for his good wrestling ability but I too tend to agree that he's missing something when it comes to be a main eventer. He doesn't generates that electricity in the ring & its almost the right way you put it that he's been thrown in their "second string show" ECW to see if he actually gets some reaction.

Yes he is, and I say even more deserving than his brother Jeff. He is an excellent worker and one of the best performers that the WWE has. People find him boring and dull because he isn't a spot monkey like Jeff and not a "high flyer". I think if given the chance he would do great as a champion and can play both the face and heel roles well.

I would love to see him in a feud with HBK, I think that right there would catapult him to the next level.

yeah because i dont really think matt hardy hes happy with the ecw title and i dont really think hes happy on ecw so yeah i do think he deserves one i would like to see matt as the wwe champ

I think it's about time he got one

I dont think it should be on ECW though, I'd rather have him be champ on SD! and have Jeff as champ on Raw kinda like when Eddie and Chris were champions on the same night at WM20.

Anyways, Hardy is actually a great wrestler and I'm pretty hyped about their title match Sunday.I think WWE did a great job of promoting it.
