Question:

Is McCain a liar about the necessity of political experience for being president?

All through the campaign, McCain and the McCain-ites have been arguing that Obama's 12 years of political experience in the Senate and state legislature were not enough political experience. Now, McCain picks someone with only a 2 years as Gov, and some years as mayor of a town of 6,000 (and before that a city councilperson).

Was McCain lying about the necessity of political experience then or is he lying now because he needs someone who can draw the Hillary vote?

  1. If what we've had for the last eight years is what McCain calls experenced leadership then we don't want anymore.

    Obama 08

you can get much information in this website, If you will check anyone blue link in website.

  3. oh puhlease...its a VICE presidential posltion, not president and as such the answer is no.  WILKOPEDIA THE TERM VICE PRESIDENT AND IT WILL BECOME MORE CLEAR TO YOU.

  4. McCain would sacrifice everything for power. Noticed as Palin was speaking he was unconsciously fooling with his wedding ring while checking her booty out.

  5. Why are Democrats belititng the office of mayor in cities across America.

Palin has more actual experience at running a government than Obama.

  6. Looks to me like McCain knows he is losing, and he's picked Palin as a cynical attempt to gain Hillary voters. the gesture sort of makes his arguments about Obama's so-called lack of experience sound very shallow.  At least, that's my humble opinion.

  7. Well if you call voting present on every bill that crosses your desk experience then you deserve Obama.  Palin has an 80% approval rating for the job she has done which is historically amazing.  She has kept tax payers money in their pockets, has fought corruption and cares about the blue collar workers as her husband is one.  The Senate has a 6% approval rating and that includes Obama and Biden.  I think she has more experience then Obama/Biden put together- and she brings to the table more then empty promises.

  8. He wasn't lying, Americans want to know where their president stands on issues and obviously, the more experience that person has, the more issues they have dealt with. It doesn't make them a bad candidate by any means, just that the public doesn't know what to expect if somethign new came up.

In the case of John McCain picking Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, my assumption is he is trying to attract women who felt alienated by Obama not picking Hilary Clinton as his own running mate. This opens a huge "flip-flopper" issue that the democrats could use against McCain in the fall election, since he has now picked someone with even less experience than Obama, an issue they always pushed to disclose to the public.

  9. McCain will be harmed because he keeps saying that the US needs a tough and experienced leader on the war on terror, dealing with rogue nations and foreign policy.  He brings up Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and now Russia pretty consistently.  But now he selects someone who needs to step in his shoes to be president that has 0 foreign policy experience.  I don't know how McCain can use the experience argument anymore, I really don't.
