Is McCain mental fit to lead?

My question is if McCain is mentally fit to lead our country? Mccain has alway claimed that he does what is best for the country but when it comes to his VP pick he chooses someone who he thinks would get him elected rather than the most qualified. Is it because he cares more about getting elected or is it a poor judgment of our hopeful president because of old age and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which is consistent with his 5½ years of great stress in prison and which can explain his violent temper, his memory lapses and his frequent mental disconnects.

Any person in her/his right mind would pick the most qualified physically and mentally to do the job incase he kicks the bucket while in office, especially considering Mccain's age!

With Obama's past drug use, cigarette smoking, and being as thin as a rail, I have to ask myself the same question for the dems. McCain isn't fit for running our country, and it doesn't all have to do with his health, but his politcal stance for our country. That is what matters in an election.

No, I don't think he is.  McCain's choice to pass over more qualified people for the VP spot, who could actually run the country should something happen to him, does bring into question his fitness to put the country first. It was a reckless and irresponsibility choice for our national security. The PTSD is very real as well and will only get worse as age-related issues come more and more in play.

yes he is mentally fit way more than Obama and besides what is not mentally fit about picking a VP that you think would get you elected if anything that shows that he is mentally fit and aware of everything that is going on in the country and making choices on that and what the people want besides she is VP and he is the president so he can still veto any dumb choices she makes. also the age thing his mom is 93 so i don't think he'll die in the next 8 years.

He is not able mentally to run the country, every answer is a noun a verb and 5 as a POW....a question is asked about the economy, his response would be a noun a verb and 5 years as a POW

His pick of VP has nothing to do with mental ability.  It may have been a political move to win the election, but what is the point of picking the most qualified VP candidate if he comes in second?

Maybe we should be wondering if Palin is qualified to be president cause McCain sure isn't and probably wont last out a term, being president is stressful on the young and healthy. Mc Cain has made some really stupid choices which make me wonder how he would do as president. someone mentioned drug use, Palin actually inhaled.
