Is McCain right that Alaska being near Russia counts as foreign policy experience for Palin?

When asked in an ABC interview, by George Stephanopolis what foreign policy experience Palin has, Cindy McCain replied, "You know, the experience that she comes from is, what she has done in government -- and remember that Alaska is the closest part of our continent to Russia."

Is that enough foreign policy expertise to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency?

For the person who said she is more qualified than Obama . How is that? Obama was in the State senate then the national senate. Palin was a mayor for a town that is small than most major colleges and then governor for 18 months . so that equals

Obama  = 12 years State and National Senate

Palin  = 18 months as Governor
