Is McCain the only Presidential candidate from major pol. party since 1788 who was a P.O.W.?

Were any in the Revolutionary War? War of 1812? Civil War? Indian Wars? WW I or II or Korea?

Andrew Jackson was held as a prisoner during the Revolutionary War.  He had joined up as a courier at the age of 13.  He refused to clean the boots of a British officer and was slashed with a sword that left him with life-long scars (and a life-long hatred of the British).

Edit:  Ross Perot's running mate was James Stockdale, a former POW  (Vietnam) but, of course, that's not a major party.
