Most of Hillary Supporters are Pro-Choice, Agree? So why would McCain think he is going to get Hillary supporters. Simply Because she is a women? Hillary's Ideals are More connected to Women. A Women Republican would not Make sense for Women who are Pro-choice.

  1. We don't need a leader. Americans are like sheep always relying on someone to tell us what to do. Stand up for your self on November 08 don't vote and say no to a new leader and rule your own life.

  2. Just shows decision-making is not McCain's forte, which is the reason why his own wife doesnt trust him with their family wealth.

He was basically announcing "Hey women voters, I have chosen a woman. Now vote for me like my wife will do for me!"

  3. That pick will actually sink McCain with women.  Women will not vote for a candidate that will appoint judges that tell them how they can use their bodies.  It's over for McClone.

  4. Well, he's got the Alaska vote locked up

  5. McCain was in trouble the moment he started pandering for votes in the primary.

  6. Christian voters! He will win!

  7. Just the opposite. Mccain wasn't going after Hillary supporters. Most of them will vote for Obama anyway, or not vote at all. He is trying to unify the Republican party who clearly want a return to conservativism, not a move toward "neo-conism."

  8. No.  It's consistent with McCain's platforms.

Obama promised us change and chose a running mate who's been in Washington politics since Obama himself was 11 years old.  That's not change from Washington politics of old.

  9. McCain will win

  10. I don't think pro life pro choice are the real concerns of people at this time. There are bigger fish to fry.

  11. No it's not, but Obamas is.

  12. Cause he thinks women are stupid and will vote for him just because he selected a female VP.

If McCain and Palin get elected, you can kiss Roe vs Wade goodbye. They are both extremely pro-life, and will try very hard to make abortions illegal. If you are pro-choice, the decision is easy. Vote for Barack instead. If you are pro-life, the decision is easy. Vote for McCain.

  13. I think McCain is going to win. Without a doubt.

  14. Women understand that when the Democrats threw Hillary "under the bus" they sent a resounding message to ALL women that the Democrats sexist agenda is glaring....The women of America can appreciate a woman (who has more executive experience then Obama) who is appreciated by her party and they will respond in kind by voting her into office and allowing her to become the first woman to be Vice President of the United States. History will be made.

  15. I think it was an odd and dare I say desperate choice.

First I don't really believe that there as many Hillary supporters as one might think that will jump the aisle to McCain. These people (mostly women) have in some way been fighting for further rights and opportunity throughout their lives. I don't think that a small period of hurt feelings will override years of belief.

Second, Choosing Palin undercuts one of McCains strongest arguments against Obama, that he lacks experience. Palin's resume is very thin and is at this moment under an ethics investigation in Alaska for illegal hiring/firing practices.

If anything on first blush, I think some Hillary women will be offended by the sense of pandering that the Palin nominatiion risks

I truly believe that the trend is strongly against McCain in this election.  My family has been politically active throughout my entire life. I remember handing out Carter Brochures when I was a kid in 1976. After a while you can tell a winner from the vibe and tone the conversation takes. In rehortical terms the person who owns the language of a debate, owns the debate and will usually win.

    Nixon did it in 1972

    Carter slamed Ford in 76

Reagan did the same to Carter in 80

Bush 1 trumped Dukasis by owning the debate

Clinton turned his own rhetoric on him in 92

Bush did it to Kerry in 04

From where I sit, Last night Obama did it to McCain last and by all accounts McCain is cracking under the pressure (Read the bizarre Time Magazine interview)

  16. I can't wait until Hillary clinton pick this woman Palin apart McCain have made a big mistake .(1) let's get serious this show the lack of judgment on McCain part.(2)Palin is no Hillary Clinton she only been a Governor for 2 years and we are talking about Alaska where the wild life out number the peoples 20 to 1.(3) i would not feel comfortable having Palin running this country in a case where something happening to McCain .3) Palin is under a ethic investigation .4) We know that Biden is ready to lead on day one if something ever happen to Obama. I personally think McCain just handed the presidency to OBAMA.
