No...as far as I'm aware, they are strips of potatoes deep fries and sprinkled with salt. :)

McD's french fries, like many of the chain's products, contain quite strange ingredients.  For example, their milkshakes include chicken fat as an ingredient.

As for the fries, they are flavoured with wheat and dairy ingredients according to the research I have found.  So, if you are on a gluten-free diet or a vegan, they are a bit of a no-no.

i know they used to have beef in them.. it upset a lot of people when that came out so they changed them..
