Is McDonald's McFlurry Smarties ok for Veggie's??

i know formally from McD's UK they are now OK for veggie's as the colour used in some Smarties before has been changed now HOWEVER Nestle UK still class them as unsuitable?? Very confused?? Do McD's UK have their Smarties produced seperately??

  2. the shell for small candies has an agent sprayed onto it that causes it to harden, and gives it a shine.  that spray is made from bug parts.  i'm not kidding.  those candies are technically not something a vegetarian wants to eat.

    it doesn't make it unhealthy, just something a veggie doesn't want.

  3. a vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat at all (but can eat fish if they want to)

    a vegan is someone who doesn't eat anything at all from animals (milk, eggs etc)

    It would be unsuitable for vegans but it would be okay for vegetarians. If the label says it's not suitable, then they've probably got some kind of meat in them.. i'd avoid them.

    There's a helpline on the back of smarties if you want to ask them yourself.

    And smarties are smarties - mcdonalds likely buy them and use them (not produce their own)
