A few months ago the McDonald's in this area that were privately owned were "bought out" by McDonald's Corporate, this was the original information. Since this happened the service has gone down hill dramatically, they are not repairing equipment, thay are not replacing inventory, and the store appearance is deteriorated to the point of being scary from a cleanliness view. Word is that they are letting things go due to a take over or are out of money, it was also thought that the previous owner forced corporate to buy them out due to the support not meeting the contractural level. Just wondered if this was limited to this area or is this something happening in other area's?

  1. its just a fast food resturant....

  2. I can assure you that your local Micky D is not representative of the other tens of thousands of McDonalds restaurants all over the world.

Sad that yours is being run badly, but there are Mcdonalds on just about every corner. Pick another one.

  3. I'm a shareholder in McDonalds Corporation. I can assure you, they are doing well as a company.

Why the QSR's (industry term for Quick Serve Restaurants) in your area were taken over by the corporation could be due to any number of reasons. Sometimes, if a franchaisee is not making payments back to the company, they get their franchise revoked. Also if corporate receives enough complaints about a particular location, the franchisee either gets their franchise revoked or they lose the chance to expand and open more QSR's.

As for the state of operations of the ones in your area... Whomever is managing the restaurants in your area is responsible for running them on a daily level. If the in-house manager is not doing his/her job, they need to be reported to corporate. Corporate will send out the territory manager, or corporate rep to get things back in order.

If you feel strongly that your area QSR's are truly in a mis-managed state... Please report them to corporate.
