McDonald's doesn't care. They pay their staff minimum wage, so they can't expect too much out of them. I think they're just going to be happy someone's actually mopping for a change. Not whether or not it's right next to someone's Big Mac.

Many restaurants vaccumn, sweep, mop, wipe tables, any type of cleaning, while I do not agree with the practice and most corporations frown upon it, it does happen......it is even worse when you watch someone mop the floor and then wring out the mop by hand without gloves and turn grab a burger and throw it on grill or throw fries into fryer - that is even worse

I've actually been to plenty of fast food places that do that mess.

Except Wendy's because they're usually carpeted.

I worked at McD's for a long time and we never did this. It isn't whether the company allows it, it's whether the employee is rude/stupid enough to do it. I'm sure if the manager saw them doing it they would tell them that they needed to wait until people were gone to do that. i can see if there is a spilled drink under you but if they are just routinely cleaning it should not be done. I have been to other places where I have seen this done and think it's one of the rudest things.
