  1. it's definitely a starter job but i think it will turn you off of the food for a while. it all depends on the manager if it's a good environment.

  2. If your in high school yes.

  3. yeah it is a good place. i dont know how old you are, but they give nice scholarships

  4. first job you should take anything you can get. Depends how old you are, like if its a summer student job or a permanent one.

  5. Haha, NO. Even if you were into the food biz, I would suggest you working with no fast food !

  6. no dont work there its gross.

  7. yeah why not I worked burger king, carls jr, then mcdonalds. It was all cool. It's a go way to start.

  8. no, being around all the grease will give you terrible acne. and that place is so aggravating to work at, you'll never want to work again. try a steakhouse or some restaurant like that. you'll make a good bit more money by getting tips also. goodluck. :)

  9. McDonalds isn't too bad of a place to work. With the right people it could even be fun. There is alot of stress to the job and you have to work fast and make sure you do stuff right. McDonalds was my first job and I was glad just to have job.

  10. if you think you can't do better..

  11. Yes, it is easy to get a job there, you learn some of the basics of employment, and later you can use it for a reference.   Both my daughters started with McDonalds.

  12. Yes.

McDonald's was my first job and I had fun. It also teaches you about how to deal with different types of people and has lots of opportunities for promotion.

When you're young and you need money, a job is a job.

  13. Yeah. if you make manager your going to be somebody quicker :) Also look in joining the national guard as a first new job.

  14. Many people underestimate working at McDonald's.  It was my and many of my best friends first job in high school.  I worked there to help my parents pay for my prom dress.  McDonald's actually teaches you about life if you are mindful of those learning opportunities.  You will learn to work hard but you will also learn how to manage people.  Customers that get mad because their food isn't quite right; you learn to handle times of stress and being busy and most importantly, multitasking. Plus sometimes, at the end of the night you get to take some food home.  You'll meet some great people and have a lot of fun.

  15. lots of people learn valuable working skills starting out there

  16. My friend worked there as her first job and she really enjoyed it.  She's a cop now so it's not really a bad thing.  As a first job you're only really doing it to get money, unless you want to go on to be a manager or something.

  17. I would go with something more like Subway for your first job- its a much more laid back place to work at, and plus their food doesn't turn people into obese monsters.

I worked at a subway for my first job and it was lots of fun... plus you never have to worry about saying you worked at a fast food place, because subway is "slow food"

    Hope this helps.

  18. no

  19. I really don't think so.

I had this freind in highschool who knew this kid, and you wouldn't believe what happened.

After all the math exams were graded and finished marking,  they handed them back to the students.

Apparently, the kid in my friend's class, had done sooo horribly on his math exam, that when they returned it to him, they stapled a Macdonald's Job Application to his paper.

So in other words, the message the teachers were trying to convey to that kid was that, 'Hey kid, you can't do math for ****. Might as well go and work at Macdonald's.

So, in conclusion, i would say that Macdonald's aint somewhere you wanna work for a first job, becaue you can tell through what happened to the kid, that people have little respect for those who work at Macdonald's. And macdonald's sure aint something you wanna put on your resume as past experience.

  20. it depends on your career path and your time, if your a student just looking for a small gig then yeah go for it but if your hopping on becoming a very successful lawyer or a pilot or a doctor the answer is NO nstead think about interning... hope this helps ;)

  21. In this economy any job is a good job.  My first real job was at McDonald's more than 20 years ago.  I made a little money.  It was OK.  I remember a guy working there with me quit to go to a better job as a cook at a restaurant.  I went back to college after that summer job. You need to establish a good employment history.  You need to show future employers that you worked somewhere, like McDonald's, and were there for a period of time and then moved on to a better job.

  22. It would be if it's your first job, but I really recommend you NOT work at "McDonalds".

P.S I think it's better at "Burger King".

  23. no.

  24. ehh not really..depends on your age thuogh..i mean if ur like under 19 then maybe its O.K..but not great..

  25. I hope Ronald McDonald doesn't hunt me down and stomp me with his big red shoes - but NO.

The the fumes and smoke given off by highly heated oils is a proven carcinogen (cancer causer) - so those french fries can kill you in more ways than one.

Find a place that does not use fry oil.

Or better yet, a job where you might learn some useful skills - vet assistant, library worker, etc.

So learn and earn.  What could be better?  Good luck!

  26. If you like their food I suggest you don't work there because it will change the way you look at their food entirely.

I would advise you to work at a store in a mall or something like that.

But if you would like to work at McDonald's, then it's your desion, not mine.

    :)

  27. Working at Macdonalds is the lowest paying job you can get.

  28. WHY NOT IF ITS YOUR FIRST WORK.  YOU'LL BE GOING UP AS SOON AS YOU FINISH YOUR SCHOOL.

  29. i would say yes for a 1st job, you need to start somewhere and it will be extra cash for you. I wouldn't stay there for too long though.

  30. maybe. maybe not. =]

  31. Yea, that's the most common place.

But why don't you work at a better place? Like Dairy Queen, i don't know, because apparently they don't treat their staff very well.

( Just going by how it is where i live )
