Is Medellin, Colombia a safe place to vacation? I hear it's amazing for getting women so I want to go.?

I speak Spanish so that wouldn't be a problem. Is it safe? If I stay in the downtown area where all the women and clubs are at, can I get a hotel that is walking distance to everything?

There are no women you want to meet downtown.  You need to stay by Parque Lleras in Poblado, the upscale part of town.  You can stay at the Dann Carlton on the main street and walk to Parque Lleras in 5 minutes.  It's not real dangerous but no one will be walking there, they all drive cars.  better to take a taxi for $1-$2.

Medellin is safe, very beautiful and worth visiting. But if all you need is women go to your local bar. It's going to be much cheaper.
