Is MediaConverter.org legal to download mp3's from????

Question

I used to use FrostWire to download mp3s, but today my friend showed me MediaConverter.com and explained how I can convert YouTube music videos to mp3's. It works great. My friend claims it is legal, but I want to be absolutely certain. Can someone please help me??

By the way, if possible, could you please give the specifics about this, because I want to know EXACTLY what the law states about this, and what laws this is (or is not) breaking.

For one thing, youtube specifically states in their agreements that you agree to (whether you read them or not) that downloading videos from their website is illegal.
