  1. its only hard if you arnt good at memorizing things.

if you happend to take latin it would help you because alot of the roots of the words are latin derived such as words with the suffix itis mean inflamation.

  2. I actually found it to be a lot easier than anatomy and physiology.

You will learn the suffix and prefix of medical terms and its pretty simple. For example suffix, ectomy means surgical removal of.

Prefix, hyster means uterus. So when you put the two together, you have the word hysterectomy-surgical removal of the uterus. Good luck!

  3. No it's fairly easy. Just a lot of memorizing. If you have taken other biology classes you should already know the root words and be able to guess what most terms mean. I got an A in this class. Just make sure you study and you will do fine.

  4. YES

  5. it's not a hard class. i thought it was interesting and i learned a lot. once you learn the basic terms it goes by pretty good. i suggest getting flashcards!! write terms on the front and definitions/meanings on the backs! my book for the class came with pre made flashcards!

  6. It is just simple memorization.  Once you start to memorize the words and parts you will be able to know what a term means without having gone over it in some cases.

My daughter just took an accelerated course and finished with an A in 2 weeks.  It is something almost anyone can do.

    Good luck!

  7. mostly memorization

helps if you have had Latin, or a serious human physiology course.

  8. No not at all. You will learn what words mean as far as medical and it's very easy. Very easy!!!

  9. No, it's easy.  The other answer is right, Latin helps, as does a physiology class, but they're not necessary.  And much of the words are prefixes or suffixes so you always know the meaning of those.  If you don't memorize well then I wouldn't take the class, but it's not hard at all.  I liked it a lot--everything was very clear.

Even if you never use it in a job, it helps even now just going to the doctor, reading health articles, etc.  You'll love it!  Good luck :-)

  10. Probably not. Why not challenge yourself and become a nurse practitioner and be able to prescribe prescriptions?

  11. Not really hard, but very fun if your interested in it!
