This is for a Hospitality Tourism class... I like the sound of "How companies keep their good employees during the merger and acquisition process." How can I make it more of a hospitality tourism topic?

  1. It depends on what class this is for, and how detailed you want to get on the subject.   If this is for a business class, then it's too broad - you will want to narrow it down to one aspect of M&A - such as how are companies valued, what is the history of M&A deals, a discussion of one particularly significant deal (e.g., Time Warner-AOL merger), effects of consolidation on particularly industries or society as a whole (e.g, anti-trust concerns).   For a non-business class, a general overview of the process of acquiring a company (touching briefly on each of the foregoing aspects) might be OK

  2. Yes, it is too broad.

How about, "How companies keep their best employees during the merger and acquisition process".
