  1. Well, for an M rated game, it's actually not that bad in terms of content.

The blood is not as bloody as say, Gears of War or Resident Evil 4, and it's actually pretty minimal. If your parents do hate blood, you can turn it off from the menu screen.

Plus, the game actually encourages you to use stealth as opposed to lethal-force, you actually get rewarded if you do so ( with special items and certain emblems)

The language isn't worse than any PG-13 movie, the swearing is not gratuitous and although they do use the F word once, you won't hear them swearing that much.

There is no nudity, there are some Playboy magazines, but the purpose of them is laying them on the ground to distract guards. And I find that you'll rarely use them anyway ( from my experience)

The story is very good if you pay attention to it, it criticizes why we fight wars, our reliance on computer systems, even how we treat veterans when they come back.

Besides this, MGS4 is a really great game, and I don't say that lightly, it's one of my favorite games of all time

  2. No it's actually not.

There is nothing really that Mature in mgs4.The language doesn't have any curse words. There is blood though.

    Nothing much.

  3. h**l no! that game is one of the best games to ever come out. personally, i don't think there's anything bad about that game at all.

  4. there's blood and all, little bit of swearing, violence but there isn't a lot of gameplay the game is mostly for the storyline. if he or she has played the other metal gear games you should be fine., the way i  take the esrb is if the child or teen is mature enough not to go repeat the stuff they see then i think it should be fine. so hoenstly it depends on what the kid is like

  5. it depends, it doesn't have any nudity (for what i've seen so far) but the only thing really bad about it would be shooting and yes there is blood. for me i find it okay but for a twelve year old i don't know. there were some parts that my heart jumped because some things just pop out some times (boss battles). i would say no. wait a couple years.

  6. isnt that why they make the ESRB

  7. Well I don't see Metal Gear Solid as a very violent game as you can go through the whole game without killing a single person. but the challenging levels and such can be confusing at times and even frustrating.

It also has some pretty spooky stuff with the 4 first bosses about how they went insane it even gave me the chills sometimes.

I would say if the 12 year old is mature enough go ahead

  8. The language in the game is more or less OK, like a movie for teenagers (not even close to GTA IV).

There aren't any limbs flying through the air or blood rivers, so this is OK too, besides you can turn the blood off, however there are some violent cinematics.

Protagonist is a heavy smoker (however the game is full of health alerts)

Overall the game isn't that bloody (not like Manhunt 2) or scary (not like F.E.A.R.) or full of drugs, alcohol and cursing (not like GTA series).

    It's OK.

  9. I have played and beaten it. It is a very good game.

There is some language and fair deal of blood.

The better half of it is not the normal color of blood.......(Dont want to spoil anything for anyone.)

Some of the GEKKO bleed a good bit.

  10. Well it isn't really that bad there is blood but it isn't God Of War gory. There is swearing but that isn't that bad. There is cleavage lol but its not that bad.

  11. It is M, but not a BAD m. Blood, but no gore. Some of the robots bleed. Some language ( I think theres 2-3 of the "f" word). Theres some bathroom humor. ( a Character craps himself). And as someone else said you can turn off blood.I think it would be fine if he isnt really sensitive. Its not like GTA at ALL
