Is Mexico's water system safe?

Is it true that the water in Cozumel Mexico is recycled and therefore the water and drinks are not safe to drink??

STAY AWAY FROM THERE WATER EVERYBODY GET'S SICK IS THE WORST WATER OF ALL WATER I WENT TO ALCAPULCO MEXICO AS SOON A DRANK A NATURAL JUICE FORGET STRAIGHT TO THE BATHROOM FOR THE WHOLE ENTIRE STAY I COULD NOT GO OUT ALL IT WAS THE WORST VACATION OF MY LIFE STAY AWAY FROM THE NASTY WATER DON'T DRINK STUFF THAT THEY SAY IS NATURAL IS NOT BECAUSE THEY ADD THERE OWN WATER AND THAT WILL MAKE YOU SICK AND THE ICE ALSO STAY AWAY ANYWHERE IN MEXICO THE WATER IS NOT SAFE AT ALL THEY ARE USED TO DRINKING THAT WATER THEY COULD TOLERATED JUST DRINK BOTTLE WATER IS SAFE AND IT WON'T MAKE YOU FEEL SICK GOOD LUCK

Ever hear of Montezuma's revenge. I would stick to bottled water.

And if you drink mixed drinks, watch out for the ice.

I would hope the nicer hotels would look out for the guests and maybe provide clean ice.

stick with bottled water.

get drinks w/no ice ...(trust me.)

and brush your teeth with bottled water.

I got sick just from brushing my teeth with sink water in Mexico. It was the worst thing ever.
