Is Michael Phelps retiring from swimming after the 2008 olympics?

I've been hearing it a lot, so is it true??

no.  he has already said he will compete in london - not in 8 events though.  

my guess is that he will compete in 5.  he said he won't step back into a pool until feb 2009.  i wouldn't either.  need to take time off after his record haul and get laid.

No.  After London he and his coach are both taking a much deserved break from swimming and training until February 2009.

I dont think so, he still has more to give in London!

But is you think about it, he has broken a lot of records already, so it wouldn't be a bad choice
