If he's not, I think he should be.(just to be on the safe side) Unless its the guy from the previous relay race. Then its ok.

  1. It has not been announced, however Lezak (the anchor from the other night) is not competing in this race, because the 200m is not a specialty.  He will be changed out with someone younger.  Besides, LeZak has an individual 100m race to compete in.

  2. I dont think they use him as the anchor but I could be wrong. He has been  swimming 3rd.

  3. Well, the following swimmers swam on the team in the qualifying:

    1:46.57 Walters

    1:45.47 Berens

    1:47.11 Vendt

    1:45.51 Keller

    7:04.66 (Olympic Record)

    The finals order will be:

    Phelps

    Lochte (yes that's right)

    Berens

    Vanderkaay

They'll lead off with Phelps and anchor with Vanderkaay. He was used this way as well in the short relay to try to get a lead (his swim was an American record..in fact it was just .01 second shy of the old World record).

Although Keller and Berens had the fastest splits in the heats Lochte is an excellent 200 freestyle too.

    Hope this helps.
