  1. He is a three-point machine.

  2. Most probably, yes.  Although, the thing with Redd is that if his shot is off...then he basically becomes useless.  He won't play good defense or go to the rim because he starts sulking that he is missing shots.  You will notice this when he is on the floor, but he is making zero impact.  But, when he is hot, he is hot!

  3. redd is about a year separated from the last time he was a good shooter

and he was never great, he couldn't score 20+ without his percentages dropping

  4. yea he is the best shooter in the team he is mad under rated.. but his shot is crazy n he was a 5 something pick in the draft. he is the best shooter

  5. i think hes the best pure shooter and most accurate shooter

  6. would be kobe but i'll go with redd he cant miss a shot

  7. i agree but doesn't look like he'll get much game time

  8. Disappointingly yes. Nothing against Michael Redd, but international ball is all about shooting. Although it won't hurt the 'Redeem Team' in the Olympics, they still haven't really figured out that international ball is much like Warriors basketball. They need more shooters (e.g. Ray, Rip, J.J. Redick, Kapono? Korver?) I'm not suggesting the last 3 make the olympic team, but there needs to be outside shooting with Melo, Wade, Kidd and Lebron, who really can't make outside jumpers. Couple that with the fact that neither Paul nor Williams is an excellent 3 point shooter, that leaves only Kobe and Redd. Their athleticism will save them this time, but they need to change their style.

  9. yer most likely... man he is dominating from the international 3 point line. like absolutely killing it..

  10. best pure shooter on the team no doubt

  11. Yea Michael Redd is the best shooter team usa has. But Dwade and Kobe will get more playing time.

  12. second. wade has develop jump dshots

  13. yes. that's the reason he's on the team. to shoot the three pointers.

  14. Redd is the more accurate shooter than Kobe. Williams has a pretty close accuracy compared to Redd, but he doesn't take as many shots. So yes, Redd is the best shooter on the team and that's why they put him on the team.

  15. yeah. He learned it from Ray Allen when they were on the Bucks to gether.

  16. here is the answer dude..

  17. yes he is.. no doubt. coach K needs to try to get him some more minutes IMO

  18. yea i would say so

  19. Absolutely true.........  He is because none of the players n USA can shoot better than Redd. So he is the pure shooter on the USA roster and he is one of the best shooter in the NBA.. no doubt....

  20. I think 'Melo looks like a better outside shooter than Redd from what I've seen.  At least with the shorter international 3-point distance he does IMO.

I think if team USA wanted to get a somewhat 1-dimensional sharpshooter on their roster, they could have picked someone better than Redd for that role.  Not that Redd isn't a good player, he is, but there are better pure outside shooters in the NBA than Redd (like Jason Kapono for example).

As much as Team USA claims they tried to field a team rather than a group of 12 individual superstars this time around,  I still don't see much from them except 1-on-1 play that showcases their individual skills without them actually playing like a team.
