He certainly plays the cover drive as well as any player in world cricket!

If Vaughan's the not the best to watch, then who is?

  1. I would say Yuvraj Singh & Adam Gilchrist

The best looking with some big sixes & class cricket shots.

  2. He is certainly easy on the eye he never looked hurried this morning

  3. Sorry. Ugly as ....

... and that includes his cover drive, it's only half an arc!

  4. yup

  5. He's not even the best player to watch in his own side! That is Pietersen, when on form, who is a mixture of Viv Richards and Mohammed Azharuddin.

  6. Yes, one of them, but only when he's scoring his first 30 off 70-80 balls and not 130!

  7. No

  8. i think Damien Martyn was the best looking

  9. No,its Graeme Smith

  10. David Gower was the best player ever to watch

    i think  VVX  Laxman

    and Kumar Sangakkara

    is now

  11. I personally think so. As well as his cover drive, I really like his lofted pull-shot that he does off just short of a length (directing just in front of square) - he did it a lot against the Aussies in 2002/3.

I also liked watching Lara because when he got going he looked invincible. Vaughan rides his luck a little more than Lara did, but he has that calm aura about himself that just adds to that sense of serenity he creates through his strokeplay.

  12. all time, i dont think you can go past M.E Waugh, most elegant and entertaing strokeplay, i think anyway.

  13. lol, he may be classy to watch, but best looking? That's Binga!

  14. I'd have to diagree with you there... I like the effect Vaughn has on his team, England are lifted by Vaughn's presence, for me that's amazing to see one cricketer influence a whole team.

As for the best looking player, it's kumar Sangakarra... when you watch him play he times the ball perfectly and he's a very intellegent cricketer.

I have a question for England and Sri Lankan fans.

  15. I would say he is definitely one of the best looking players to watch in world cricket.

As a Test batsman, his classically elegant strokeplay has made him one of the games most watchable players and his cover drive is simply a stroke of sheer beauty. Right down to simple things like the way he lobs the ball to players in the field has a certain style and assurance.

Oh and who can forget when he lost his trousers, even in that moment of panic he managed to remain graceful and very pleasing to the eye lol!! :)

Hmmm Oracle, I totally disagree about Pietersen! He is a great batsmen, no doubt about that but his stance is reminiscent of someone mooning out of a bus window! Don't you think?

EDIT: Don't get me started on Belly... you know how much I'm in love with him lol!!!  :)

  16. So you came out of your closet! I think Harbhajan singh with is hair down would be the best. He is smooth and with a mincing gait he will warm you up. Here are some pics, enjoy:

    Good question.

  17. tell you what mate, your not a biased bloody pom are you!! not half!! actually i dont know if your just a biased Pom or if you just have an obbsession with Vaughan!!.....probably both!! LOL

admittedly he looks very very good batting, but personally, two of my faves are Michael Clarke, especially to the spinners as i think he is probably the best player of spin in test cricket right now! mainly cos he is just so quick on his feet (pity that he prides himself on being a pretty boy!!)

the other my surprise people, but i love watching Laxman!! i think hes one of the most underatted batsman in the game!! the way he uses his wrists is awesome, i would say hes the best looking at the crease, but he is a personal favourite!!
