Is Mihael a German name?

Figured someone could help me with the name thing here... I'm not naming a baby or anything, but I need to know! If they don't use it in Germany, where do they use it?

    The Republic of Slovenia is a country in south central Europe.  It was part of Yugoslavia from 1945-1991.
