Is Minas Gerais Brazil a safe place to visit, if i am with a Braz. geologist? i am a white usa will i be safe?

we are going to buy some gemstones, and metal detect for gold, and my family wants dad to return safe, and is maleria, a problem....thank u in advance...belton44..will i need any special meds, and can i buy meds over the counter down there.....

Minas Gerais is a safe place, but you have to be careful.

I have been robbed in Paris, but that's considered a safe place.

You can buy medcines over the counter. Maleria is not a problem in Minas Gerais. But please take mostiquo repellent. They can bite and give Dengue Fever.!
