If the dominant group chooses to subjugate, brutalize, segregate and demonize a smaller group, will that lead to the larger groups younger generation becoming besotted with the common trends of the oppressed group and imitating them on a large scale as an act of natural adolescent rebellion. Will this mean that the separation the larger group hoped for is impossible, if the two cultures are in a constant state of creation and assimilation.

  1. OK. Yes, separation of minority and majority groups is impossible, but not for this reason. In the simplistic situation you describe, the oppressor is like to be a society that seeks to define itself in terms of power and capacity to put down another. That being so, it will seek and find a group to put down, no matter what. Also, the difference between generations, from an historical standpoint is not so great as you're imagining (and as many of us do). Each generation differs, yes, but not to the extent that one generation's oppressed are assimilated in the next generation. History shows us that situations of racial slavery and ethnic division last for many many generations. Assimilation of these two groups is impossible because the one is a society that tends towards oppression. They cannot be separated by virtue of their very contact, so they will always be some relationship between them even if they can move past oppression.
