Is Minsk worth visiting?

I have got the chance of visiting Minsk and I just wanna know if it is worth visiting.

I know all countries are nice and great to visit but just want to know as a tourist are there enough interesting stuff there to make it a good destination

I went there 4 years ago on a job mission. It was really nice with lots of great historical places, museums, cathedrals  and so on but if you have not visited some more famous tourist destinations I would not really suggest there to you since the people are cold and shopping is not that great. Have fun
