I have 2 peace lillies. One is from my mom's funeral and one frome my sister's funeral. I don't want to loose them. I am having some problems with leaves turning brown and not putting out many flowers. I know I need to fertilize but don't know what is best to use or how often to use. I also want to replant so that they will continue to grow bigger. Any help anyone can give me will be so appreciated.

  1. Sure, miracle Grow is excellent.  Remember peace Lillie's will burn, if They get too much light.  You could replant Them, just make sure You use a slightly larger planter then the one it is in.  Oh too, don't fertilize, I'd say after November.  They too go through a dormant period.  Some say it's OK to put the plants in a shady place outside during the summer, but mine always die. I live in zone 7, so maybe if You are in a cooler zone.  Peace Lillie's are easy plants to grow.  When They look like they are starting to wilt, Put the whole plant right in the sink.  Spray down the leafs and give it a thorough watering....so the water comes out the drainage holes.  Oh yeah Peace...to You and Your peace Lillies....sorry to hear about Your Mom and Sister.

  2. yes. miacle gro will work great. it will gow a bit faster and in sunlight will bloom

  3. If you want to keep it around for awhile:

    1. repot into a bigger pot (12" diameter) with some good soil (organic is best)

2.apply miracle gro at 1/2 rate and mabye every other watering.

    3. peace lillies can survive with very low light intensities so, don't stress the plant out by putting into full sun and in a hot corner.  the bathroom would be a good place for a peace lilly

    Don't worry, it'll bloom

  4. Miracle Grow works great on most plants but only use a small amount you can over feed too.

  5. first of all you do not need to re pot unless the roots are sticking out from the pots they are in now second of all you can fertilize with miracle gro every 3 or 4 months but as needed if the plant is given the right conditions plants do not need to be placed in bigger pots to grow bigger they need to be transplanted if the roots are bounded bigger pots result in over watering which will cause your plant to get brown leaves and eventually lead to alot of leave loss keep the memory alive by giving these plants water and fertilizer  as needed and re pot only when necessary
