""According to Oz, Miss Piggy's father chased after other sows, and her mother had so many piglets she never found time to develop her mind. 'I'll die before I live like that!' Miss Piggy screamed, and ran away to the city. Life was hard at first. People got all the jobs; pigs had to take what was left. To keep going, Miss Piggy walked a sandwich board for a barbecue stand. Desperate, she took a stage name, Laverne, and entered a beauty contest. She won and got her big break: a bacon commercial. This led to a season as mascot for a local TV sportscast called Pigskin Parade -- and then on to The Muppet Show."

  1. HHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAYYAAAAAAAA!!!

I JUST KNOCKED YOU ON YOUR     *SS FOR INSULTING MISS PIGGY.

  2. Welllll . . . I've had about five role models as I moved through life . . . and Miss Piggy was definitely one of them.  She met life on her own terms, never allowed anyone to shake her faith in herself, and remained devoted to her beloved frog. HiiiiiYAH!!

Edit:  no, my role model was a strong, self-confident, larger-than-life personality who happens to be a pig puppet.  Goes to the genius of Frank Oz, who created her.

  3. You may be onto something here. Lets evaluate she verbally and sometimes physically abused her boyfriend, she verbally and physically abused people who made her angry, and she was an all around big mouth who didn't know how to be graceful or ladylike. Sounds like a modern day feminist to me.

  4. Oh please. I hope you aren't suggesting that feminists are a bunch of muppets?   ; )

  5. I'm sorry to burst your bubble but it's just a puppet. Santa isn't real either. MWAHAHAHA

  6. Miss Piggy is "modern day"?

  7. thats just absurd... a feminist would never enter a beauty pageant!

    jk, people... jk

  8. Actually MS.Piggy, was supposed to be taken from.Maj. Margaret Houlihan from M*A*S*H The T.V. Series. This is who Frank Oz and Jim Henson Designed her after. So Look at Maj.Houlihan, and ask yourself what did she represent.

  9. you really are an absurd chattering skull.
