  2. Monaco is an independant principality situated inside the french departement "alpes maritimes" between Nice and the italian boarder along the Med sea.

    The population is around 30 000 (only about 5000 "monegasques" , the rest are foreign residents)

    It's a politicaly independent state with 3 official languages: french, italian and monegasque(a old language similar to the old french "provencal") a proper government, the money is the Euro. Casinos are no longer the main economy !

    High tech companies and tourism are the main fund risers now !

    There is no customs between France and Monaco, (only a road sign says you are entering)

    In fact you can easily drive into Monaco without realising you have just crossed a boarder!
