Is Mongoose Team Issue a good bike for freestyle?

My dad is convicing me to get the Mongoose instead of a Diamondback Joker. I heard Mongoose doesn't really make good BMX bikes anymore, so which bike should I get???

If you are buying a Mongoose from a real Bike Shop, it is decent. If it is from Wal-Mart, forget it. Mongoose Pro is sort of a separate company from Mongoose... sort of. They sponsor Pro riders and make their frames in a different factory with better components and rely on Wal-Mart to make the company money to do things like make better bikes.

Between the two, get a Mongoose but I'd recommend a Haro or Mirraco if you want to get a bike that will last and is relevant with current trends as both Mongoose and Diamondback usually lag a little behind.
