Is Monotheism necessarily good?

Monotheism is about people believing by themselves and/or through the use of force in one theology.The rule of theology makes artificial instruments like the Church or the Mosque unnecessarily powerful, controlling the minds of people and inhibiting their direct relationship with God. It is the rule of theology not God! It's better to believe in a personal god than theology. A good person ends up doing something unethical to promote his Church's or Mosque's belief over others. Why not have a direct relationship with God?

Monotheism is not one theology but one GOD.

Monotheists believe in one God.

Heck, Jews, Muslims and Christians believe in the same one God, and look at the difference between them.

What you're talking about, if given a neologism, would be "monotheology."

I do believe monotheism leads to persecuting the other guy for following false gods or not following your gods right. Polytheism assumes the other guy is just following other gods, so it's all good.

Edit: Re your additional details. I'm sorry, obviously my knowledge of Greek, Latin and English is oppressing me. Help! I'm being oppressed.

People use anything they can to get closer to God or gods or spirituality in general. Native americans used Peyote.

The Roman Oracles were regularly stoned on different types of substances.

Arabs were some of the first to get stoned.

Earth magics and older polytheism often employed a Hallucinogen of one sort or another. to interpret,"see" or "clarify"

My point is it has never been enough for any culture to believe and work up a relationship on ones own. At some point we as humans want more, and there is nothing wrong with that.

A single finger in your palm might look ugly and be useless .An object with a single side could not exist .

Space is empty - is "NOTHING " .That is why it has no sides .With one side "NOTHING " could exist .Space is is the only thing that exists as "NOTHING".Nothing else is .

A world is not a single thing .No single continent , no single ocean , no single mountain , no single human being , no single animal , no single tree make the world .A world is one with innumerable things in it .So is a forest .So is a beach .So is a man.He is composed of too many organs and too many faculties .A single thing has no existence .If God is a single entity or single force , it does not exist . A church building is not an artificial instrument.  It is a place that people (Christians) of the same faith and beliefs come together to worship God/Christ.  God had Moses and the Israelites travel with a temple and then Solomon built one.  God encourages Christians to come together for group worship, support and accountability.

However, there can be false Christians or church leaders who misuse the church as it was intended.  As leaders they will be held responsible for their actions, as will those who follow blindly.

Going to church does not prevent a direct relationship with God.  It should enhance it.

It seems to me that organized religion has confused you. Everyone has a personal relationship with God whether they believe or not. God is simply the oneness of the universe. Everything is a part of something larger, God is the completion of everything. Religion is an organized way to recognize the Most High. Every religion praises the same God, just in different ways.

In pagan times there were hundreds of gods I am sure it all got to be quite confusing.

One God is Truth and a simple belief.

People can make it complicated only if they want to veer from The Truth and only abide by their own truth which is not the same thing.

He always will be and those who are using it for a power trip is going to be sadly disappointed at their end of times.

p.s. Jesus taught the Apostles and left them to build the hierarchy, its because people need a Shepherd all the time.
