If they are doing so, are they legally responsible for what happens from using this kind of seed? Such as cross pollinating other crops that are NOT Genetically Modified Crops so they can not reproduce the next year from a rancher/farmer that had nothing to do with the GMs to begin with?

How can "Terminator seeds" be legal?

  1. Bingo as to the problem with cross pollinating other crops!!!!

Then, they have the audacity to try to sue the farmers whose crops they contaminate.

Genetically modified seeds are legal because we have allowed the government to become corrupted to the point where laws and regulations are made for special corporate interests rather than for the health and well being of the people.  Food irradiation is another example.

Monsanto buys the science it needs.   The fellow bandit, the corporate controlled main stream media, goes about brainwashing the people into accepting that science and discounting conflicting science.  Monsanto then calls upon its "pre-paid" politicians and government bureaucrats to enact whatever laws and regulations were required.  Health and well being of people be damned.

Monsanto is a multinational corporation, and this is a multinational problem.  Managed free trade agreements have permitted Monsanto to export the problem to other countries around the globe.

I see one solution, a political one:-

We need to get back to small government to stop the insanity.  If we followed the Constitution as Presidential candidate and Congressman Ron Paul wishes to do, the national government would not be vulnerable to takeover by elite corporate interests such as Monsanto.

If America participates in true free trade, rather than managed free trade (again as Ron Paul proposes), corporations such as Monsanto would find it much more difficult to acquire such a great deal of control over the world's food supply.  Under fair trade, they would be forced to complete.

Its time to wake up and act people.  If we fail to act, it won't be too long before there is nothing safe to eat.

I'm for capitalism, but not for corporations controlling government and international trade organizations.  Enough is enough.
