Six year ago, montreal was as safe as Reyjavik, Iceland. Now people are scare to walking night. Every week, in the news we learn about new house invasion. Criminals now attack house to robe the people who live in it.

Montreal is rule by Haitian street gang and French speaking immigration of morrocan and algerians from France brought a lot of criminals.

  1. Yes, and it's due to the liberal Canadian immigration policies.

  2. Montreal is definitely less secure than it was. I don't know why but there is a shift in the new generation mentality. The first time I visited Montreal I remember that the people were very very pacific.

Now there is a young generation of kids I didn't even pay attention that grow up and they are mainly influenced by the crude language of hip-pop rhythm more than their parent. It is strange than Montreal doesn't have the level of poverty as in Bronx or Brooklyn but we have as much gangster than there.

  3. I'm a montrealer and I say no it's not more dangerous just more publicized now.  Montreal has a large population for a canadian city about 3million live here.  There has always and always will be some violence but now it's publicized much more than before.   It's not due to immigration or any other racist remark the other people are making.  In fact alot of immigrants are good hardworking people who worked their *** of to get here to try for a better life
