Is My 11 month old cat Happy?

Holaa

I Have A about 11 month old kitten..or cat idk i sitll call him my kitten lol

he plays fetch and things and i play with him but i just feel like he isn't happy. he never wants to sit by me and like if he's laying on the floor and i go lay on the floor he leaves!

i think he hates me..lol anything i can do to help him like me more?

Its probably just your cats personality. Some cats may love sleeping on there owners lap others are more comfortable from a distance. If you want there to be more of a bond try talking to your cat, if you don't already, even just weird stuff like whats on the tv ect.

Cats, unlike dogs, are very independent animals.  When they are young they would much rather chase toys, play with things on a string, etc. than sit on your lap.  Some cats never become lap cats, but most of them get a little more affectionate when they get over two years old.  When you approach him, make your hand into a soft fist and hold it out first, and he will probably headbutt your hand, then pet him.  Give him time and he will probably get closer to you as he gets older.

the more attention you give him, the more he wont like you.  cats take attention as an aggressive behavior...  play with him as you normally do, but sometimes just ignore him.  he'll come and visit you and play when he feels like it.  the more you ignore him the ore he'll pay attention to you.  but when he does come up to you asking for attention, give it to him until he leaves.

give him LOTS of attention until he gives up. Maybe since you're not around for the kitten, he's probably gotten used to not being in contact with people.
