I lot of the time I lecture her about getting hurt ect.

When she was attacted by dogs I told her to get as high as she can; she did and she didn't come down for an hour.

When I tell her to eat as much as she can she will.

Its really strange, If like I tell herto stop scratching the windows screen she will..

And she actually listens and looks at me when I talk, and she comes when I call her.

Also we can comunicate to, I ask her to meow when I ask her question (like when shse was hurt and what she does while I am not looking) She will answer..

Though she didn't answer me when I said 'Who attacked you?'

Thars what maade me worry..

I said the dog, the tree branches ect.

Then I thought She was nervious about it.

So please tell me do other cats normally show this behavior?

  1. Well my cat listens when I call her too like her names kitty.. yea I know very original. I call her and she comes and I ask her something and she meows.. I tell her to go to the room or outside and she does... some cats are just not like others.  Your cat seems amazing though ♥

  2. You may be the next Dr. Do Little :)

I know cats are smart, one of mine knows when he is up to mischief, he would climb on the table and look my way, to see if I'm watching. Will only hop off if I make a move, but will then put one paw on the table to annoy me. He even figured out the cat flap/door> at night I put it on "in only" so when they come inside, they can't go out again, but he'd stick his claws in the side to grip and lift it, and would slip out. He even holds it up for the other cat to escape first.

  3. It is rare to have that type of cat. But luckily both of my cats listen just like yours. I once asked what my one cat did today and she told me. I can call my other cat from alll the way downstairs and she came running down the steps!! She then meowed at me asking "What".

  4. I'm the kind of person who believes anything's impossible so i guess....but i really doubt it haha.

  5. i personally had one cat like this but normally cats are not like that it must be you get smart ones here and there.

  6. she's smart and your lucky to have such a good relationship with this kitty. Keep her safe and indoors away from dogs and she will be one happy kitty.

  7. Yes, your cat is smart, as well as has a deep emotional and spiritual connection with you for you two to be able to communicate like that.  I, too, had an old tabby cat who was just like your cat before he passed away.

Although I raised him as an indoor cat, I told him how to get unstuck from the screen door and window screens and he did it without any help.  I told him he must finish his meals before I would give him any squid treats, and he finished all of meals before coming over for his favorite squid.  Whenever he was mischievous, I told him he needed to apologize and he meowed his "sorry" every time.  I taught him to "hold hands" with me and he always "held paws" with me, especially whenever I was sick or heartbroken.

What amazed me the most was his appreciation for music:  classical symphony, oldies (Elvis was his favorite), and country (Garth Brooks was his favorite out of the country genre).  What surprised me the most was his undying love for the theme song, My Heart Will Go On, from Titanic.  He would meow at me to tell me what "musical mood" he was in and I would turn on his favorite tunes according to his moods.

It might be hard for some non-cat-owners to believe in such a phenomenon until they have experienced it.  But it is one of the most amazing experience in life:  it is like raising and teaching your own child all these lessons about life and they actually show their understanding through action.
