My kitty Sunday, http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii182/xXPorcelainXDollXx/100_0518.jpg

sleeps in my room. When she falls asleep ( like a deep sleep like kitty REM) She growls and moves allot she snores at some times but i think she is missing some teeth. At times when i wake up there will be a pool of something wet on my bed (about the size of a quarter and i thought it was pee so i smelled it and i think it is drool) Sometimes when i scratch her ears she shakes her head, and last night when she shook her head a couple little drops of her spit hit me i was cracking up!

Also when i talk to her she sometimes talk back, like word for word. it kinda feels like she answers my questions!!

Last thing, when she wants attention she rams me with her head quite hard!

Is this normal? Do anny one else's cats do this? And why dose she do theses weird things?

  1. Everything is normal except for the excess drooling. Cats don't normally drool that much unless very excited or sick. You may want to ask your vet about it.

  2. That is a cat for you. Everything you described sounds normal. Many cats dream like humans and twitch and make sounds while sleeping. The drooling is normal for some also. My cat head butts me when he wants attention. So don't worry, it's normal.

  3. Dreaming: Cats do in fact dream, so that's what she's doing when she's growling/moving/snorting while asleep.

Drooling: Cats also drool when they are happy or excited.

'Conversations': Yep, cats will talk to you. And birds outside the window. And other cats. It depends on their personality. Usually if the cat is talking to you they are showing affection or asking for something.

Head butting: If you observe kittens interacting with their mother, you'll see that they do this with both their mother and their siblings in order to get attention. This is remembered behavior which she's using in order to get attention from you, same as kneading with her claws to show affection.

All perfectly normal. Congratulations, you've got a happy cat!

  4. Obviously your cat is just a very deep sleeper. My cats tend to do the same things, twitch, drool, make noise in their sleep. When they ram their head into yours, it just means they love you :)

  5. Perfectly normal........and btw, you have a gorgeous Harliquin kitty!

  6. first off your cat is very so much normal infact and animals like a human they dream they drool they even find ways to comfort us when we are upset...

she does these things to show she cares when you first get a cat they look at as if they are your slaves and once you earn there trust they look at you as a protector your cat sleeps on your bed to protect you and will let off little growls to warn anyone off if they are around lol

this is very normal dont worry if your cat wasnt doing this perhaps it didnt care lol

  7. As dapunkin said, this is all normal. Sunday obviously loves you very much!

Cats have scent glands on their face, when she headbutts you, she is marking you with these scent glands, marking you as HER property! :)

Drooling isn't that uncommon, but it did cross my mind that this can be a symptom of dental disease. If her breath smells bad, or her mouth looks inflamed/red inside, then consider taking her in to have her teeth checked.

Otherwise, just make sure the vet takes a look at her teeth at her next yearly general checkup.

    Enjoy your kitty!

EDIT : I just noticed the link to her picture! She's sooooo gorgeous!!!

  8. She is adorable! I just love the way the Tortoise Shell cats look!

I think all of that is normal. My mom's cat drools too when you scratch him behind the ears and when he shakes his head spit goes everywhere! Her other cat shakes her head after getting her ears scratched so much that sometimes she falls over! It's so funny!

  9. Dont worry your cat's normal. Kitty REM lol!
