Is My Hamster okay?????

Question

My Roborski hamster was acting weird, so I checked her for wet tail, and her tail and butt were brown. (One of the symptoms). And I looked up symptoms online. After that, I checked again, and there was a little less brown, and I checked again, and there was even less brown, Should I still take precautions, and use the medicine and take her to the vet? What should I do???? :(

you need to clean her cage her butt is probly brown from sitting on p**p and it started to come off shes fine just clean the cage and give her a bath.

I'd take her to the vet if the symptoms match up with those of wet tail.

They are very small so illness can get bad quite quickly for them.Hope shes okay!

Taking your furry friend to the vet could cost more than what you could expect. Fortunately, PetSmart carries medication for wetail. I think its under ten dollars. You can call PetSmart and ask if you can bring your hammy over for them to see if she has wetail. They might know more than me or you. Good Luck!!!

We had the same thing happen to our hamster..use the drytail medication as soon as possible....it may save her life...we had the same thing happen to ours.  The pet shops put it in the water to prevent it from happening...but sometimes forget to tell you that stress can cause it and you should use it at home for a while.  Is the hami new?  The store may have a waranty if she passes.

If I were you, I would get Dri-Tail at the petstore, and follow the instructions on the back. Even if she doesn't have it, it won't hurt her. If she lives with another one, then treat that one, too.

my little sisters hamster died when we were kids, so i shocked it with a stun gun, he's still running on his wheel...it's been like 15 years.
